Never Let Go: The Ace of Cups

Grant and Devon have been best friends — with benefits, of course –  since college. Grant is a best-selling author of a well-known action/adventure series, but it still doesn’t pay well enough for him to live on. Devon is a photographer that works in the porn  business and he’s gotten pretty close with many of his subjects. Grant and Devon roomed together in harmony, each putting up with the other’s quirks, until Grant developed stronger feelings for Devon.

After a night of passion-fueled love-making, Grant finally tells Devon of his feelings and Devon reciprocates. However, only hours later, Grant walks in on some unknown model showing Devon just how good he is at his craft. Six months later, Grant’s trying to find a  job and Devon’s still trying to win him back. But Grant is hurt and still sees Devon as the player that he’s always been. The two of them will have to get past what happened between them in order to find out what’s in store for the future.

Toy Box: Biting

edited by M. Rode, with stories by Misa Izanaki, Jourdan Lane, and Mike Shade

In Curiosity by Misa Izanaki, bartender Dante wants his half-vampire lover Kale to bite him. Kale is hesitant, afraid he’ll go too far and hurt his sweet lover. But will refusing his lover this request do as much damage as granting it could? Jourdan Lane’s offering, Clarity, brings us back to the world of Soul Mates. In this story Caleb’s punishment is coming to an end and he is finally allowed to feed again. While he’d love to begin with master vampire Lucien, it is his lover Xander he turns to.

And finally, in Keifer and Me, Mike Shade brings us the reunion of Davey with his lover Kiefer after a year’s separation. Keifer’s promised him a homecoming Davey won’t forget, but when Keifer starts talking about being a werewolf, Davey has to wonder if he’s going to have to have Keifer committed. Who doesn’t love it when the boys get a little toothy?

Update: Sunday – 04/26/09

I think I have most of the content back up. The only thing that’s left now are images and links — both to internal and external pages. The links shouldn’t take long, but uploading the images are a pain. With the deadlines I’ve got right now, you might be looking at toward the end of the week.

However, the purchase info/links for my books are working. You just have to click on “Books” in the right hand menu and scroll down to whatever book you’re interested in reading or reading about.

Thanks for the patience!

Just a quick note to say that the site’s going to be down for a week or so while I get everything switched over to a new host.  Things will be back up asap.

In the meantime, if you need to find me or links to books…

I just have to say that you’re writing is quite impressive and was wondering just if you picture a particular person or actor in these character roles?

Do you picture it in your mind like a running scene in a film?
Again excellent can’t wait for Ascension, I want to read about how the adventure continues. In this series you really don’t know who’s your ally or your foe.

Can’t wait for their next chapter in this truly wonderful series.

    SECRETS, SOUL MATES #4

    FILE PDF, PAGE 39

HUUUUUUUUUGE MISTAKE… this is the paragraph

After a quick change of clothes, I grabbed my phone and headed out. I was just about to walk out the side entrance when Silver caught up to me.
“Where do you think you’re going?” His Spanish accent was heavier tonight than it’d been since I’d first met him

OK! I’M OFFENDED! Silver is Brazilian (Peter say that, book #3) SOOOOO CAN I PLEASE ASK WHY A BRAZILIAN HAS A SPANISH ACCENT?
I’m exaggerating? No, sorry, I’m a Brazilian and as a Brazilian I SPEAK PORTOGUESE NOT SPANISH, so why Silver, A BRAZILIAN LIKE ME HAS A SPANISH ACCENT?

I believe writers usually must deliver book on short time, but it’s really a great mistake and maybe Ms Jordan Lane should take her great talent (I’m a great fan of the Soul Mate serie) to another editor. A serious editor would help her editing a book (like reading the book?), and huge mistakes like this would not be publish.

    Sincerely
Camila (a Brazilian and speaker of Portuguese, my mother language)

Hi Camila, may be I am mistaken, but I don’t remember Silver being Brazilian, but coming from Brazil and Peter didn’t compose his files yet, so you don’t know where Silver was before Brazil. Accents are strange things – I came to Israel in ’73, age 13. I prefer speaking Hebrew, but you’d not have any problem to guess from my accent where I came from. I am from Latvia and I have Latvian accent, but I had *never* spoke the language beyond bare minimum.
