1) The issue with the Kindle edition of Soul Mates: Bound by Blood is fixed. It’s been fixed for several days now, but it’s been so crazy around here that I didn’t have a chance to post to let everyone know. So, if you were waiting on this to get fixed in the Kindle store itself… it’s there with buy links and everything. 
2) I was going through email on my server last night to try to clear out some space (all emails are kept there for backup) and found quite a few hung up in the spam folder. I’ve adjusted the settings on this folder dozens of times, but it still catches legit emails and sends me junk. I’ll get to them as soon as possible, I promise. Either way, I’ll be sure to post when I’m caught up with them all.
3) My girls started spring break last Friday and I’m spending time with them — and J, who has his 7 days off right now, too. While I might be online here and there, I’m not working much at all until after 03/23/10.
4) Okay, so 4 things make more than a few. But I just remembered that I wanted to ask for some thoughts on my website. While I LOVE the theme, I’m wondering if it’s too image heavy for some that access it. Or too dark in regards to coloring. A few days ago, someone emailed to let me know of an issue with the Kindle edition of Soul Mates: Bound by Blood. The book is listed in search, but there’s no way to actually buy it. I emailed my publisher to see if they could tell me what was up. They checked on it and did what they needed to, but this appears to be an Amazon bug.
Since we first discovered this problem, I’ve received 9 additional emails asking how to buy the book for Kindle. I figured it was best to let everyone know that we (my publisher and I) were aware of this and that it IS being handled as quickly as possible.
So don’t freak out.
– The book is NOT out of print, nor is it close to being so.
– This does NOT affect the print version of the book, ONLY the Kindle edition.
– If you don’t want to wait until this is resolved at Amazon, I believe you can buy the book in either non-secure Adobe, Mobipocket, or HTML at All Romance Ebooks or OmniLit and then transfer the file to your Kindle for a small fee. However, I don’t know how to do it, so don’t ask ME for help/advice on that. There might be other distributors who offer this service, but I’m not readily aware of them. 
Again, this only affects the Kindle edition of Soul Mates: Bound by Blood at Amazon.

Many of you have emailed over the past year to ask when the Soul Mates books would be available in Kindle format. Soul Mates: Deceptions has been available, but the rest of the books kind of got left out. Well, as of this morning, ALL four books are available in Kindle format. However, the Amazon search feature is messy and not so wonderfully executed. The returns you get on a name and/or title search are varied, to say the least.
For instance, I did a search for “Jourdan Lane” in the Kindle Store. What came up included everything BUT Soul Mates: Bound by Blood. For a moment, I thought that book didn’t get included in the upload. But after doing another search, I found it under “all departments”. I don’t know. Maybe it’s because the recent uploads just haven’t synced with the rest of the catalog yet. It’s not the first time I’ve noticed this happening (with other authors), so whatever the cause, I hope Amazon straightens it out at some point.

P.S. As for SM5? Well… I’m working on it. It and a dozen other things that need my attention. Real life has thrown curveballs left and right, but hopefully after the holidays things will have calmed down enough to where I can get a better idea of where things stand.

I mentioned on Twitter yesterday that back in 2007, I received some lovely fan art from a reader — now friend. It was beyond awesome to know that someone else enjoyed my books and characters enough to want to bring those same characters to life in a drawing. I had them up on my old website and will put them up permanently as soon as I get a chance. But for now, I’ll share here in a blog entry.
As you can see in the images, they ARE copyrighted and signed by the artists. Please do not copy and/or hotlink or I will hunt you down and…sic Nikolas on your ass.

If so, I’ve decided to start posting random lines from current works in progress. The two in progress right now are Soul Mates 5 and Target. It might happen once a day, a couple of times a day, once a week, or even once a month. It’ll vary, no doubt, because I get busy and distracted. Or, if I’m working with spoilery scenes, I won’t be posting at all. Sometimes the same lines will be posted on both networks. Other times, I might find a line/set of lines that need a little more room. Those will go to Facebook.
Either way, just thought I’d pass the word along.

I’ve received several emails in the last few days from people wanting to know the reading order for the Soul Mates series. I thought I posted it a long while back, but can’t seem to find it. So, pretty much proof that I do a lot of things in my head and that aren’t done in reality.
Just FYI… Some of these short stories are actually necessary to read because they continue on with the series as far as plot/timeline/relationships/etc. and go. The only exception is Instinct. As long as you read it before SM: Secrets, you’re good.
Anyway, here goes:
